Group Mentoring Sessions at the 2016 Fall Conference
Last year, former Board member Steve Chung began a series of group mentoring workshops designed to break down abstract concepts like “networking” and “branding” and translate them into concrete, actionable strategies to help advance your career. The 2016 Fall Conference is now proud to present this workshop as series of group mentoring sessions that will take place throughout the day, in which mentors will meet with participants in small intimate groups to troubleshoot specific professional and personal development issues that may be impeding your career advancement. The goal is to help you come up with a game plan to help you move forward and rise up in the legal profession.
Apart from Steve Chung, who is Senior Vice President at NBCUniversal, the following accomplished attorneys will be serving as mentors:
- Susan Shin, AABANY President and Partner at Arnold & Porter
- Larry Wee, AABANY Director, Corporate Law Committee Co-Chair and Partner at Paul, Weiss
- Sonia Low, AABANY Director and General Counsel, the ONE Group
- Joseph Centeno, NAPABA President, 2009-10, and Partner, Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP
If you are interested in taking part in these Group Mentoring Sessions, you can register at http://bit.ly/gmsfc16 by September 9. (Fall Conference registration is required to participate in the Group Mentoring Sessions.) Each session is expected to run for 30 to 45 minutes. The mentor assignment and time slot for each person will be based on the responses received as well as mentors’ schedules. The goal is to match applicants with the appropriate mentor or group of mentors.
